Welcome to Wiradjuri Country – my new book

Thanks to the National Library of Australia I have a new book out, it’s called Wiradjuri Country. The book features the plants, animals and habitats found in Wiradjuri Country. I also use Wiradjuri language thanks to the Wiradjuri Dictionary which was written by Uncle Stan Grant and Dr John Rudder.
The book is aimed at upper primary school-aged children but anyone can read it because it is full of interesting information. You will find out about animals such as maliyan – the wedge-tailed eagle, and learn stories about dinawan the emu and gugubarra who wakes up the sun.
The book also features wonderful Wiradjuri artists such as Kristie Peters and Scott (Sauce) Towney.
Wiradjuri people are the people of the three bila (rivers) and rivers are an important part of our nguram-bang (Country).
You can find the book in bookstores or by going to the National Library of Australia to order it. Let me know what you think.
